These terms are an agreement between you and Stillmoon ("we") covering your use of the Nūr app for iOS. By downloading or using Nūr you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms are more restrictive, these terms govern.
Nūr calculates Islamic prayer times, qibla direction, and related information on your device using published astronomical methods. It is a convenience tool. Calculated times are estimates and can differ by a few minutes from your local mosque or authority, particularly at high latitudes or with unusual local conventions. For religious observance, please treat your local mosque or scholarly authority as the final word.
Nūr is fully functional for 30 days from first launch, free of charge. After that, an optional auto-renewing subscription (US$0.99 per month, or your local App Store equivalent) restores exact times, notifications, qibla and widgets. Without it, the app continues to show approximate prayer periods.
The subscription is billed to your App Store account and renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime in your device Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
You may use Nūr for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or by open licenses covering any included components.
Nūr is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stillmoon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you hold under consumer law that cannot be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives at this address. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. If we ever materially reduce what the subscription includes, we'll say so in the app first.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of New South Wales, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
